S. Marcovitch gives some details as to how those fluoride insecticides work (Ind. Eng. Chem. 16 (1924) 1249):

"The value of sodium fluosilicate as an insecticide is due to the fact that it is both a contact and stomach poison. Shafer has determined that when a roach walks over powdered sodium fluoride a little of the powder adheres to the lower part of the body, antennae and tarsi of the feet, and dissolves in the exudations of the integument. This seems to cause some irritation and uneasiness; the insect soon begins to clean the moistened powder from the body by licking it. In doing this enough of the poison may be brought into the mouth and swallowed, to kill after a period varying in from five to ten days. Other insects, such as Mexican bean beetles, also have the habit of cleaning themselves and by putting their feet in their mouths become very easy to kill. For this reason the sodium fluosilicate is more effective against the adult beetles than the larvae, which do not have these habits."

SO WHAT IS IT? 
Hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking”, is the process of drilling and injecting fluid into the ground at a high pressure in order to fracture shale rocks to release natural gas inside.

TO THE SITE
Each gas well requires an average of 400 tanker trucks to carry water and supplies to and from the site.

HEAVY LOAD
It takes 1-8 million gallons of water to complete each fracturing job.

FRACTURING SITE
The water brought in is mixed with sand and chemicals to create fracking fluid. Approximately 40,000 gallons of chemicals are used per fracturing.

FRACKING FLUID

Up to 600 chemicals are used in fracking fluid, including known carcinogens and toxins such as…LEAD URANIUM MERCURY ETHYLENE GLYCOL RADIUM METHANOL HYDROCHLORIC ACID FORMALDEHYDE

In October 2009, the Canadian company Gastem, which has been drilling gas wells into the Ordivician Utica Shale in Quebec, drilled the first of its three state-permitted Utica Shale wells in New York. The first well drilled was in Otsego County.[69]  (<PLEASE CLICK AND READ THE FACTS!)

CONTAMINATION
During this process, methane gas and toxic chemicals leach out from the system and contaminate nearby groundwater.

Methane concentrations are 17x higher in drinking-water wells near fracturing sites than in normal wells.

DRINKING WATER
Contaminated well water is used for drinking water for nearby cities and towns.

There have been over 1,000 documented cases of water contamination next to areas of gas drilling as well as cases of sensory, respiratory, and neurological damage due to ingested contaminated water.

LEFT BEHIND
Only 30-50% of the fracturing fluid is recovered, the rest of the toxic fluid is left in the ground and is not biodegradable.

The waste fluid is left in open air pits to evaporate, releasing harmful VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) into the atmosphere, creating contaminated air, acid rain, and ground level ozone.

In the end, hydraulic fracking produces approximately 300,000 barrels of natural gas a day, but at the price of numerous environmental, safety, and health hazards.

I wish now to share pictures of this planet in "my neck of the woods". I do not know how to invert colors in paint - so I left it as is, straight from my samsung cellphone. This morning, 2/14/2016 around 10:45 I snapped around 12 pictures. Look at the 8:00 position. Hope to update when I get pic inverted to show the star clearer. 

Wondering why this dot appears. I see it on my cell as I am taking the pictures.

 I should also say that I have seen such at night time next to the moon. I will try to catch a pic of that tonight and update post.

01/20/2016 Caltech Researchers Find Evidence of a Real Ninth Planet Caltech researchers have found evidence of a giant planet tracing a bizarre, highly elongated orbit in the outer solar system. 

The object, which the researchers have nicknamed Planet Nine, has a mass about 10 times that of Earth and orbits about 20 times farther from the sun on average than does Neptune (which orbits the sun at an average distance of 2.8 billion miles). In fact, it would take this new planet between 10,000 and 20,000 years to make just one full orbit around the sun. 

The researchers, Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown, discovered the planet's existence through mathematical modeling and computer simulations but have not yet observed the object directly. "This would be a real ninth planet," says Brown, the Richard and Barbara Rosenberg Professor of Planetary Astronomy. "There have only been two true planets discovered since ancient times, and this would be a third. It's a pretty substantial chunk of our solar system that's still out there to be found, which is pretty exciting."

Man killed by meteorite for 1st time in history

Published on Feb 8, 2016 One man was killed and three others were injured after being struck by what is believed to be a meteorite near Bharathidasan Engineering College in Vallore on Saturday. The bus driver who was sitting in his vehicle near the impact site is believed to be the first human in recorded history to die in such manner. Two gardeners and a college student were injured and hospitalised, while surrounding buildings and vehicles were left with shattered windows following the impact. Authorities were investigating the 1.2 meter-deep (4 ft) crater, as well as samples of debris at the time of writing in order to determine the object's origin and whether it can be classified as a meteorite.
