We are taught that a husband is obligated to give a get to his wife if she desires to live in Eretz Yisroel and he does not wish to - if we are also told that Shalom Bayis is more important - then why did the Sages say a get should be given?
Answer:
During times of the Bais HaMikdosh when spiritual purity was possible, it was not right for a man to impose the spiritual impurity of Chutz L’Aretz on his wife.
